Frequently Asked Questions
Whether you're replacing scratched lenses, updating your prescription or booking a LensMatch™ assessment, here are answers to some of the questions we're asked most often.
Can you replace the lenses in my existing glasses?
Yes. In most cases we can professionally replace the lenses in your existing frames without you needing to buy a completely new pair of glasses.
We can replace prescription and non-prescription lenses in many metal, acetate and titanium frames, including a wide range of designer brands.
Every pair is carefully inspected before work begins to ensure the frames are suitable for reglazing.
What is LensMatch™?
LensMatch™ is our personalised professional lens recommendation service.
If you're unsure which lenses are right for your prescription, your frames or your lifestyle, we'll review your information and provide a personalised recommendation explaining exactly which lenses we recommend—and why.
If you decide to order your replacement lenses through Lens Craft Studio, we'll deduct the £29 LensMatch™ fee from your order.
How do I send my glasses?
Once you're ready to proceed, simply package your glasses securely and send them to us using a tracked postal service.
We'll provide clear instructions to help ensure your eyewear arrives safely.
How long does lens replacement take?
Most replacement lens orders are completed within 5–7 working days of receiving your glasses.
More complex prescriptions or specialist lenses may occasionally take longer, but we'll always keep you updated throughout the process.
Can you replace sunglass lenses?
Yes.
We can replace both prescription and non-prescription sunglass lenses in many existing frames.
Options include:
Can you fit varifocal lenses?
Absolutely.
We offer premium digital varifocal lenses tailored to your prescription and visual requirements.
If you're unsure which varifocal design is most suitable, our LensMatch™ service can help you choose the right option before you order.
Can you replace Ray-Ban or other designer lenses?
Yes.
We regularly replace lenses in premium designer frames including Ray-Ban, Oakley, Tom Ford, Persol, Prada, Gucci and many other brands.
Where original manufacturer lenses are unavailable, we can often manufacture high-quality replacement lenses to match your requirements.
What happens if my frames aren't suitable?
Every pair is assessed before manufacturing begins.
If we believe your frames are unsuitable for safe lens replacement, we'll contact you to discuss your options before any work proceeds.
